Christine Straiker

LCSW

I believe in the dignity and worth of every individual. I utilize a client-centered and empowerment-based approach that focuses on improving self-perception and growth through the challenges being faced. I work with my clients to identify goals, make positive changes, and build strong coping skills for the future and for overall lasting wellness.

I earned my Master's of Social Work in May 2020 from The University of Kentucky, and graduated with my Bachelor's of Arts in Social Work from The University of Kentucky in December 2016. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), and practice psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. I work with a variety of diagnoses including mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, anxiety disorders, substance use, and adjustment. I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also have training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Nurturing Parenting, Behavioral Activation Strategies, and Mindfulness-Practice.
